5 earth mounds in the shape of Russian nested dolls lying horizontally around the large tree of the park. These mounds salute the Eastside's Russian community while connecting to the physical park and its daily visitors. The grass covered forms invite adults and children alike to play, discover and explore within this mythical archaeological site. Matryoshka was constructed with help by high school students and community volunteers.
